The HR debate most controversial in 2014 should doubtless be the arguments between Ram Charan and David Ulrich. There's not yet a final conclusion to the contradictory disputes raised by the two HR gurus. While the focus of the debate is no wonder what role and how HR function is supposed to play in an organization, which is definitely the key fundamental of millions of HR practitioners' profession.
Meanwhile, HR Business Partners, being a new occupation connecting business functions and back-office newly created only for several years, now survives in the storm center of discussion about the destiny of the HR occupation. It has become the concentration of the debate that what value and roles that HRBP bears and what functionalities HRBP should act.
